Global Chat ("we", "our", "the bot") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

When you use Global Chat, we collect:

Discord Server ID — To identify your server and store settings
Channel IDs — Channels where translation is enabled
Message Content — Temporarily processed for translation (not stored permanently)
User IDs — For ticket ownership and usage tracking
Usage Statistics — Character counts and translation volumes

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide translation services
To manage support tickets
To track usage against subscription limits
To improve the service

            Important: Message content is sent to Google Translate API for processing. We do not permanently store the content of your messages. Translations are cached temporarily to improve performance and reduce costs.
        

3. Data Storage

Your server settings and usage data are stored securely in MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest. Data is retained for as long as you use the service.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Cloud Translate — For translation processing
PayPal — For payment processing
Discord — For bot functionality and OAuth
MongoDB Atlas — For data storage
Render — For hosting

5. Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time by:

Removing the bot from your server (settings deleted automatically)
Contacting us via our support channels

6. Children's Privacy

Global Chat is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
